Mark Bittman is the author of 20 acclaimed books. For more than two decades his work appeared weekly in the New York Times, where he was ultimately the lead food writer for the Sunday Magazine and the country’s first food-focused op-ed columnist for a major news publication. He has been writing about food since 1980. While at the Mesa Refuge he worked on a book whose subtitle is “you can’t fix food without fixing everything else, and vice-versa.”
