Jodie Evans

Jodie Evans has been a peace, environmental, women’s rights and justice activist for more than 40 years. She has traveled to war zones, promoting and learning about peaceful resolution to conflict. She served in the administration of Governor Jerry Brown and ran his presidential campaigns. She published two books, Stop the Next War Now and Twilight of Empire. Jodie co-founded CODEPINK: Women for Peace, and is focused on changing our cultures from a war economy to a peace economy.

While at the Mesa Refuge, she worked on Growing a Local Peace Economy, a guidebook with daily practices and inspiration, connecting local change practices to global struggles for peace.
